Nanosys is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer who understands the principles of product quality and quality systems.  Individual must be knowledgeable and experienced in the following areas:  development and operation of quality control systems; application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures; use of metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and improve quality control practices; understanding of human factors and motivation; and audit of quality systems for identification and correction of deficiencies.

The main responsibilities of this position are the development and implementation of our quality systems including all elements of our quality management system.  Experience in operational excellence such as lean, six sigma, visual factory, and SQC/SPC is a big plus.

Essential Job Functions Include but are not limited to the following:

• Development and implementation of quality systems
• Development and implementation of quality related training programs
• Continuous improvement initiatives
• Process analysis
• Benchmark best practices
• Monitoring and improving quality processes
• Auditing of the quality system
• Other job related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• BS/BA plus 5+ years experience as a Quality Engineer
• Proven ability to establish, optimize and maintain world-class quality systems and other continuous improvement systems
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to influence others and be a team player
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong Project Management & Computer Skills (MS Word and Excel)
• Organized and motivated
