Device Engineer #2312

This person is responsible for developing and conducting electrical testing and
characterization of semiconductor devices.  This involves writing test scripts
to interface with different electrical testing equipment on the fully automated,
semi-automated, and manual wafer prober stations.  This person will be conducting
routine and special electrical measurements on a variety of different semiconductor
device samples.  Candidates must have hand-on experience with manual and automatic
semiconductor test equipments.  Candidates must also be experienced in IEEE-488,
LabView/LabWindows, Visual Basic, C/C++ and other programming languages.  This person
will be working with a team of scientists and engineers to use the electrical data
to improve the materials and processes for novel applications based on nano-structured
materials.

Candidates should have a BSEE degree (or equivalent, MSEE a plus) and at least 5 years
of relevant industrial experience.

Accounts Payable Coordinator #2318

Position Summary

As the Nanosys, Inc. Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will be responsible for all aspects of Accounts Payable. The ideal candidate must have at least four years of accounts payable experience, effective oral and written communication skills; effective customer service for internal and external customers; and excellent follow up and problem solving ability. Strong Excel and Oracle skills are necessary. Excellent organizational and analytical skills and the desire and ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment are necessary to succeed in this position. An A.A. or B.S. in Accounting would be a plus.

Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Full cycle accounts payable processes.
  • Ensure that invoices and expense reports are paid timely and accurately.
  • Ensure transactions are processed in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Receive and respond to vendor and employee inquiries.
  • Reconcile vendor accounts.
  • Prepare and enter month-end general ledger accruals.
  • Process weekly check runs.
  • Maintain Accounts Payable Aging report and Invoice on Hold report.
  • Prepare and generate1099s in compliance with IRS regulations and ensure that all data reported on the 1099 forms are accurate and complete.
  • Filing.
  • Special projects.

Position Qualifications

  • A minimum of four years accounts payable experience or a B.A. or B.S. and a minimum of two years of accounting experience.
  • Excellent written communication skills to facilitate effective writing of correspondence with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Software proficiency in Oracle, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability and desire to work efficiently and productively in a multi-task environment on a daily basis, independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively work with all levels within the company, including executive management.
  • Ability to identify and analyze problems using sound judgment and determine solutions in order to effectively resolve issues.

Research Chemist #2319

Nanosys is seeking a highly analytical and versatile organometallic or materials chemist to develop formulations for its nanocrystals-based Flash memory project. In this role, as a key member of a technical team, you will be responsible for identifying and incorporating components in the formulation that enables lithographic patterning of nanoparticles. Additional responsibilities include synthesis (air-free), characterization (TEM, UV-Vis, FTIR, NMR, TGA), and stability testing of nanoparticles.

Position Qualifications

  • Candidates should have an advanced degree in Chemistry or Material Science and at least 3-5 years of working experience in related areas.
  • Extensive background in polymerization chemistry and hands-on experience with photo-resists development are required.
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written and the ability to interact well in a team environment are essential.
  • Ability and desire to work efficiently and productively in a multi-task environment on a daily basis, independently and with minimal supervision.

Director, Business Development, Nonvolatile Memory Products #2326

Nanosys is seeking results oriented people that are driven by an environment focused on teaming to succeed, and a passion to be part of building a new industry. Responsibilities include: but are not limited to:
Create and execute strategic technology product marketing plans in the NAND flash memory industry. Manage long-term corporate relationships. Identify market opportunities including financial analysis on a global scale; value new technologies and new markets; prioritize market needs. Help define application needs and product capabilities. Assess market competition. Construct and negotiate large contracts. Ability to make both a strategic and a technical sale. Contribute to team effort.

Experience and Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years of business development and technology experience in the NAND Flash memory industry.
  • Must have NAND Flash memory industry market analysis and development experience.
  • Experience with other nonvolatile memory technologies a plus.
  • Understand various technical approaches being pursued for current and future generation Flash memory products.
  • Experience driving new products from concept to major revenue stream.
  • Proven record of success in business development and market development from a strategic and technical perspective.
  • Global marketing, sales and business development experience (experience in Asia a plus).
  • Proven success in the construction and negotiation of large contracts.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 30%).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to multiple audiences (business and technical).
  • Proven ability to be productive in a small company environment.
