We are looking for a talented individual who has successfully managed the transition of a department from a tactical provider of services to a strategic partner capable of supporting the information needs of a fast growing company in a very dynamic environment. Critical to the experience of the ideal candidate is successful personnel and department management; high level, strategic IT program planning; business performance management (including the development and use of metrics); program analysis and vendor/consultant management.
Nanosys is looking for several Chemical Manufacturing Technicians who will be responsible for supporting the group’s production of quantum dots including performing purifications and synthetic chemistry following standard operating procedures. Most of the chemistry is done in glove boxes or air-free environments.
Nanosys is looking for an experienced R&D leader to manage a team developing its cadmium-free nanocrystal products used in today’s and tomorrow’s displays. The candidate will have responsibility for managing a technical team responsible for chemical development of these products. Objectives include improving optical properties of these products, maintaining baseline performance of the synthesis processes, and transferring products from development to manufacturing. The candidate should have experience with the chemistry involved in synthesis of core/shell quantum dots or related nanomaterials and their analytical characterization. Experience with emissive materials for displays is also desirable.
We are looking for an accomplished senior chemical engineer to bring up new equipment and processes to scale up its solution-phase nanocrystal synthesis from lab to pilot scale. The candidate should have specific experience with liquid chemical process equipment, including pumps, flow and heat calculations, filtration equipment, chemical reactors, etc.
