Society for Information Display Awards Nanosys’ QDEF™ High Color Gamut Optical Film Best in Show

Award Highlights the Most Significant New Technologies Showcased During the Display Week Conference

Palo Alto, Calif., May 20, 2011 – Nanosys Inc. is honored to announce that the Society for Information Display (SID) awarded its Quantum Dot Enhanced Film (QDEF™) the first-ever Display Week Best in Show in the small exhibit category. QDEF™ is a process-ready film that increases color gamut in LCDs by as much as three times without making the trade-offs in cost, size and brightness associated with other advanced display technologies. QDEF™ represents the first time that quantum dot technology is available to display makers in an optical film.

Nanosys announced the release of QDEF™ at the SID conference earlier in the week.
