Page Joins Management Team as Company Commercializes Architected Materials in the LED Backlighting and Energy Storage Industries
Palo Alto, Calif., June 1, 2010 – Nanosys, Inc., an advanced materials architect, today announced that John Page has joined the company’s executive team as chief financial officer. The hiring comes as Nanosys enters an era of aggressive growth and product commercialization.
Page joins Nanosys with more than 20 years of financial and operational leadership at technology companies ranging from pre-IPO start-ups to Fortune 50 businesses, where he has gained experience in marketing, supply chain management, strategic partnerships and mergers and acquisitions.

Page founded and served as the CEO of Total Chamber, a cloud-based computing company, where he led several product launches. Before that, as the VP of Finance for Nvidia, Page led the re-engineering of the company’s ERP and financial systems and processes.
At Agilent Technologies, Page was the division CFO for the Imaging Electronics Division where, as part of the management team, he led it from inception to $1B in revenue. The division developed leading-edge imaging technology utilized by such companies as Apple, Hewlett-Packard, Logitech, Nokia and Microsoft to image-enable their products. In addition, he spent 12 years with Hewlett-Packard in various financial management roles including as the division CFO for the Optoelectronics Division leading the creation and launch of the Lumileds joint venture in solid state lighting between Philips and HP.
Page holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and an MBA in finance and corporate accounting, both from the University of Rochester.
